This whole things is confusing to me. Couldn’t she have had more “influence” if she just finished her residency? And even if she was “done” with traditional medicine, it doesn’t make sense to quit with only 6 months left after 10+ years of schooling and training.

As if it’s all that easy. How many diseases even have a “cure”? How does he think he’s going to solve all these mysteries? I wish he did have all the answers, but I think he’s going to find out his theories are as bizarre as he is.
