The state of Texas is surging all available resources to respond to the devastating flooding around the Kerr county area. That includes water rescue teams, sheltering centers, the National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety. The immediate priority is saving lives.

This is a popular park in Kerville that’s now completely under water, after the Guadalupe river flooded. A neighbor tells me just hours ago you could see a bridge, water park, food trucks etc. 4th of July festivities were supposed to happen here today.

Helicopters are constantly coming in & out of Ingram Tom Moore High School dropping off girls from Camp Mystic. They are being medically evaluated then reunited down the street with their families at the elementary school. KENS 5

We have seen several young girls, teenage girls & now adults getting off the helicopters.

Today I visited Camp Mystic. It, and the river running beside it, were horrendously ravaged in ways unlike I’ve seen in any natural disaster. The height the rushing water reached to the top of cabins was shocking. We won’t stop until we find every girl who was in those cabins.
