I had a great time this weekend celebrating the life of Gary Charness. It was good to see many colleagues in experimental economics, including Catherine Eckel, John A. List, Uri Gneezy, and Lise Vesterlund. A special thanks to #CharlesNoussair and #MartinDufwenberg for organizing!

In this NBER paper, we find that cognitive strategy instruction has limited impacts on student outcomes like persistence and grade point average. Future work will explore impacts on graduation. The experiments were conducted Spelman College. Thanks to U.S. Department of Education for funding.
