Introducing MARS, the first Personal AI Robot. In technology, getting to the future we want starts with building it together. This is why we designed Mars. Inspired by early PCs, Mars is a powerful, complete, extendable robot. It runs BASIC, an open embodied AI agent we

Robotics is stuck in big, expensive, corpo land. Just like computers were in the 1970s... until Apple came along and built some in a garage. This is the new era of robotics: personal. x.com/ax_pey/status/…

I built an open source dev kit for AI-native robotics: - it’s all-in-one (includes leader arm and cameras) - allows to deploy autonomous policies in under a day - can now be ordered for $2,999 🧵 (1/n)

Loved working with Axel Peytavin and the Innate team over the last few months to design+dev their new brand and website. Watching Mars explore and interact with the world in our office using simple natural language was one of those ah-hah moments when the future we always imagined

why so extreme there's a minimum level of quality and a right angle of approach for which this kind of idea can work Interaction is raising the bar on this product idea and it looks super compelling cause it's useful - and will get more so as agents get better

Really cool to have hosted you Robert Scoble Great things are made in Palo Alto 🌞 We're moving into a new office downtown, hit me up if you want to visit

every 6 months there's a new hype in robotics. The hands hype is over, now it's egocentric datasets tbh it's very unclear if it will yield results quickly, it's very very low data quality compared to teleop data but it feels easy so a lot of new startups try it (and figure)

The west has a problem of patience and courage Even more so these days, it's all about how you can reach $100M as fast as possible regardless of what you build Some things take time and sacrifice, that's just the way it is

What Google seems to understand that I don't see other providers do as much is how important are smaller & faster models especially as embodied AI is on the rise Very very bullish on google

When the PC was created in Silicon Valley, gross margins were 40 to 50% (which is really not bad!) But software margins today are closer to 80%. VCs got used to it They have to be courageous again Fortunately it seems like it is slowly - but surely - going that direction

Robotics AI folks, anyone has a document about the pros and cons of egocentric data? I need something educational to send to the (many) companies trying to sell us that kind of data

wasn't there a time where comparison posts were smart & honest and not this stupid click-baity post? like tesla is not going to teleop their humanoid... c'mon
