We need to make our kids understand how their actions affect other people. We need to make them take some responsibility for the environment. -Josephine Kusi- Manu #JoySMS

Whether I am the same person today as I will be in 40 years matters a lot for policy, but I never hear economists talk about it. Is failing to save for retirement a choice for myself or an externality? I just finished Reasons and Persons and its answer is interesting. 🧵

A cardinal rule of responsibility: Never expect of others what you're unwilling to do yourself. If you're not in the office, don't demand that employees show up. Good managers hold themselves to the same standards as others. Great leaders hold themselves to higher standards.

Carving the path might be slow and painful but the joy of watching others tread smoothly afterwards is worth it! #lifeofaPioneer #ayawa

There should be a movie for how international graduate students in any country (preferably one where the language is the student’s third or fourth language) navigate their lives. Jennifer!!! 👀

Policies should respond to present and future needs and not past occurrences. Past events can trigger policies, yes but they should be dealt with in the light of what is ahead.

Pres Akufo-Addo says he has "total confidence" in his ability to save Ghana's economy. SPOILER ALERT: he is dreaming. Today I measure GHA's inflation at 148%/yr. W/o a currency board, like the Gold Coast’s (1913-1958), GHA's economy will stay in the tank. ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/…

If the door you’re walking through today is the one you built yourself, it means the doors you knocked on relentlessly that never opened would’ve led you to spaces that would’ve been way too small to contain your greatness. Sometimes rejection is a blessing. #LiveWithIntention
