Coventry City 2 St Pauli 2 => A normal St Pauli day out but in UK. Amazing fun. Went to Two Tone Village museum before the game. Absolutely worth the visit.

Tintwistle Athletic 1 Uppermill 0 => Nice set up with drinks at the bar Home side No 9 completely fluffed an easy 1 on 1. He did score early in the 2nd half. Home side also missed penalty late on Uppermill apparently sponsored by Inspiral Carpets but not on their kit tonight

Royston Club Album Launch Gig at Gorilla in Manchester => Stripped back gig without the big guitars. Support from Jasper Hodges

Ks at Salt and Tar in Bootle => Strange venue in car park of shopping centre but worked well. K’s were awesome. Superb versions of Hoping Maybe & Sarajevo. Great support from Megan Wyn & the Clause.

West Brom 1 Blackburn 0 => Played really well 1st half. Heggebo loved useful. Phillips played well. Good goal from Price. 2nd half Blackburn put us under pressure but held them off. Happy with view from new seats. Less happy with scraping the car door on a bollard parking up.

Some useful stats in the West Brom v Blackburn programme for the opening fixture of the season yesterday. I was genuinely unsure what the league table was looking like & how many games each of our players had played so far this season.

Free speech means you are free to boo a National Anthem & disturb a minutes silence. Both acts are unsavoury in my opinion but that’s just my opinion. The alternative is to police all things we say and do which is far worse (also in my opinion)

Stockport Town 1 Prestwich Heys 1 => Heys started well. Scored early after forcing a defensive error. Conceded on HT & were under a lot of pressure early 2nd half. Recovered well to finish strongly. Hit bar in closing stages.

Salford City 0 Rotherham 0 (2-3 on pens) Salford far the better team in normal time. Should have won it when they had the chance. Nice to hear Alex Spencer & Reytons at HT.

Off to bed at 3 after one of the best nights of my life. The last nation on earth to ever play a national team game finally did that tonight. Phenomenal effort from the lads losing 0-4 to a FIFA nation on our international debut. Proud beyond words. We are the Marshall Islands 🇲🇭

Atherton Collieries 2 Prestwich Heys 0 => Heys journey into the Europa League end early with FA Cup preliminary round defeat to higher league opposition. Colls the better team although Heys did have their moments. 1-0 at the break but the 2nd killed the game.

Wrexham 2 West Brom 3 => Very open game. 1-1 at the break. Home side pressured at lot early in the 2nd half but an inspired substitution saw Wallace score within seconds of entering the pitch. Price scored an easy header for 3-1. Wrexham scored in 94th minute.

Turton 3 Lytham Town 0 => Scoreline slightly flattered home side. Historic club. 1 of 2 founder members of the Lancashire FA. Bolton Wanderers wear Blue & White because of Turton. Their former ground is still used & is possibly the oldest football ground still in use today.

Ridiculous reffing. How can the ref nor the linesman not see the pull back from the last Portsmouth player. It’s a free kick and a red card every day of the week

West Brom 1 Portsmouth 1 => Not often I moan about refs but today’s was truly awful. Missed a blatant penalty on Heggebo and then 5 minutes later a blatant pull on same player on edge of area when he is beyond the last defender.

Caernarfon 2 Bala 0 at Llandudno => Great day. Watched the seals in Angel Bay in the morning, walk along the pier in the morning & a good win for Caernarfon in afternoon. Better side all game but got both goals in 2nd half after Bala were reduced to 10 men

Everton 2 Mansfield Town 0 => Great strike from Alcaraz & game wrapped up late on by Beto. Enjoyed the new ground. Already got a nice feel to it & not just an identikit stadium.

Rock N Roll Circus in Sheffield => Superb headline set from Reverend & The Makers. Unreal DJ set from Groove Armada with Pete Doherty & Carl Barat before that. Also saw Lottery Winners, Rosadocs, Outcharms, Everly Pregnant Bros & Ramona Flowers
