City of Portland staff proudly presented at the 1st Elective Congress of the ♻️ International Alliance of Waste Pickers Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina this past weekend.

Between May 1-5, I attended the 1st Elective Congress of the International Alliance of Waste Pickers (IAWP), witnessing a historic moment for waste pickers. The IAWP unites over 460,000 workers from 50+ organizations in 34 countries. Feeling so fortunate to be there!
