Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has suspended his #OHGov campaign. The Ohio Republican Party endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy in the GOP primary last week, leaving Yost without much of a path.

I wanna call out something that was clear in both pre-election polls and the precinct data: the education divide did NOT widen in 2024. Harris lost equal ground with noncollege AND college-ed voters. And in fact lost MORE with college-ed whites than noncollege whites.

Golden used to work for Susan Collins and didn’t support her Dem opponent in 2020, so it’s not surprising he’s not running for #MEsen. And he probably would’ve struggled to win a primary for #MEgov.

NEW RESULT: Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner, one of the best-known 'reform DAs' in the nation, has won today's Democratic primary as he runs for reelection. Krasner is now overwhelmingly favored to win a third term in November in this very-heavily blue city.

RESULT: Pittsburgh's mayor, Ed Gainey, has lost his reelection bid today in the Democratic primary against challenger Corey O’Connor, who is the Allegheny County controller. O'Connor will be favored in November over Republican nominee Tony Moreno.

Had some fun yesterday on the GD POLITICS podcast with Ruth Igielnik and Nathaniel Rakich! (And also got nerdy 🤓) We talked about why people who pay less attention to the news rate Trump'e performance more highly...
