here with Boris Sotomayor and Neuronal Networks of Memory (Battaglia lab) we show that a spike-based code, based on relative spike-timing relations extracted using optimal transport measures, encodes natural videos more precisely than a rate-based code - without representational drift! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Published! Our new paradigm for observational learning in rats. Hopefully a powerful tool to uncover neural mechs of social skill learning. Mega shout to Idavr, Ella Holt Holmberg, Devika Kurup, Benjamin Dunn . Work done at Kavli Neuroscience Check it: rdcu.be/drjuL

Gisella Vetere visiting Neuronal Networks of Memory (Battaglia lab) ! Two great days of wonderful intellectual exchanges and laughters! 🤣🧠🤣🧠 #SystemNeuroscience #Memory #Research

I'm in Vienna for #FENS24 🇦🇹 I have not one, but three, posters this year! Come say hi at the Neuronal Networks of Memory (Battaglia lab) poster row Wednesday afternoon at the Memory Mechanisms session (PS02-26PM-10 to 19) My posters : nikolaskaralis.notion.site/Brain-Wide-Mod… nikolaskaralis.notion.site/A-Virtual-real… nikolaskaralis.notion.site/Power-Pixels-A…

My #FENSForum2024 in the company of all my great colleagues of the Neuronal Networks of Memory (Battaglia lab)! Thank you to everybody that came to our posters and for the great scientific discussions we shared! 🧠

Francesco Battaglia has been selected as Distinguished NIAS-Lorentz Fellow 2025-2026. His research focuses on understanding the role of the brain as an organ within the body and how cognition is shaped by brain-body interactions. bit.ly/47ODRwa Francesco Battaglia Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study

We grieve the passing of Dr. Yves Frégnac. Yves has shaped the study of cortical processing and plasticity. He heralded interdisciplinarity and was one of the founding fathers of our institute. Our thoughts go to his family and to his friends in the community and beyond. pic.x.com/BGE4QGcg8g
