I used to just thank God for my open doors, but now I’ve learned to thank Him for my closed doors. God closing a door is not only protecting you, but it’s setting you up for something greater.

Yes, God’s been good to you. He’s provided. He’s protected. He’s made ways. You could be satisfied, but you haven’t seen anything yet. God loves you too much to let you miss the fullness of what He has in store.

You may go through the fire, through the flood, through the famine, but favor is coming. The favor of God is going to open doors you couldn’t open. The favor of God is going to take you from the background to the foreground.

You have to walk by faith and not by sight. If you walk by sight, you’ll talk yourself out of it. There’s no evidence that it’s a new day. But the Psalmist said, “The moment you pray, the tide of the battle turns.”

God is about to make some things beautiful in your life. Whether you made the mistakes or life threw you some curves at no fault of your own—bad breaks, disappointments—God saw it. Your time is coming. He didn’t bring you this far to leave you.

God said in Philippians, “I will bring you to a flourishing finish.” Not a defeated finish, a lonely finish, a betrayed finish, a depressed finish. God has a victorious finish for you.

You may be in the middle of a setback, in the middle of a silent season, in the middle of mourning, but that is not the end. God has a flourishing finish for you. He hasn’t brought you this far to leave you. Your greatest victories are not behind you; they’re in front of you.

Why not be a believer and not a doubter. Despite the diagnoses, despite the setbacks, despite the delays, you’re still going to accomplish your dream, you’re still going to break that addiction, you’re still going to fulfill your purpose.

Too often, we live fighting everything—upset over the door that closed, discouraged that it’s taking so long, frustrated over a child that’s not changing. Come back to a place of peace. Your plan may not have worked out, but you can trust His plan.

The Scripture says that nothing can stop His plan. Things may stop our plan, but what He has purposed will come to pass. You have to be still and know that He is God. Trust His plan.

Every time the opposition tells you no, you need to go back and tell it yes one more time. Don’t let the enemy have the last word. Keep declaring faith, keep speaking favor, keep calling yourself blessed, free, healthy, victorious.

Whenever you have a great assignment, the enemy will always come with distractions, temptations, opportunities to compromise. His goal is to get you sidetracked and off course, where you’re not focusing on what you’re called to do.

If you don’t know who you are, a child of the Most High God, then you’ll spend your energy trying to get other people to validate you. But when you’re secure in who God made you to be, you won’t live trying to impress people, getting your value out of what they think.

God loves to take people who are the underdogs, where there are no good options, and do something supernatural in their lives. The odds may be against you, but the Most High God is for you. You and God are a majority.
