It seems every modern system has 2 layers: the idealized, marketed version — fairness, equal opportunity, merit wins, "just work hard,"... and the actual game, where outcomes are shaped by hidden mechanics like signaling, bias, insider networks...

There are generally two types of media. One type shows life exactly as it is. It mirrors reality—our struggles, our systems, our everyday experiences. The other type shows life as it could be. It creates new or better versions of the world, helping us imagine new possibilities.

"It's not that deep" is Nigeria’s cultural firewall for shutting down deep introspection. a way to reject uncomfortable analysis, self-awareness, or the unsettling weight that often comes with seeing life through layered & abstract lenses. conditioned slaves of single dogmas.

There's a certain intuition with presenting or selling an idea, service, or product to stakeholders that I can't explain even if I were asked to teach it.
