Congratulations to our U16 girls tennis team who won the Independent Schools Sussex Tennis Shield! They competed against all other Independent Schools in Sussex and came out on top! Their incredible dedication and skill led them to victory in the final against Brighton College.

Well done to our U13A girls who represented Sussex at the Regional Indoor Finals Day last Wednesday in Guildford. Though the semi-finals weren't to be, their brilliant performance and decisive win in the final group game brought back those smiles! Well done, girls!

The English department writing competition winners from the Senior School and Prep School all went on a day trip to the Knepp Estate last Tuesday. They took part in a wonderful programme of writing exercises amidst the stunning and wild surroundings! An inspiring day!

Congratulations to Year 7 pupil Penelope for her performance at the NSEA Grassroots Showjumping competition on Saturday! She rode a brilliant clear round, finishing in 6th place!👏 This means Penelope has qualified for the Grassroots Showjumping Finals at Hickstead in August!

Our Year 3 and 4 pupils had a brilliant time on their residential trip last week! The children took part in fun activities such as Giant Swing, Abseiling, 'All Aboard' and Eco Explorer. In the evening, they enjoyed a lively campfire with other schools.

STEM Week has been brilliant! Our pupils have been immersed in a world of discovery. They took part in workshops, where they explored real NHS equipment and learned about healthcare. Our robotics and drone sessions had children coding, flying and engineering.

On Saturday 10 May, Bede's Prep celebrated its 130th Anniversary with a Spring Ball. The evening was a wonderful occasion to reflect on 130 years of history. Guests enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal, heartwarming speeches from past and present pupils and plenty of dancing!

Congratulations to Year 8 pupil Charlotte who was voted Player of the Tournament in Sussex U14s team (playing a year up!) - they won the YSE Cup on penalties. Congratulations to Year 8 pupil Sonny who recently represented the ISFA South East Team in their tournament!

Year 7 pupil Dylan is part of Invicta Junior Ice Hockey Club, who had an amazing time at Dunkerque International Ice Hockey Tournament! While they didn't make the final, they did cap off the tournament with a shut out win against one of the host teams. Well done, Dylan!

This week, Years 3 and 4 visited the Senior School for a Choral Morning! They sang their hearts out to a fantastic range of songs, from Les Misérables to Keane!

Congratulations to our U9 tennis stars! 🎾🌟 The boys' team are County Champions, taking home the win, and our girls' team were runners-up! They all played brilliantly, beating tough competition from St Andrews, Hurst and Burgess Hill in the box. Well done, all!

An amazing 24 of our pupils took part in the Aquathlon at Eastbourne's Triathlon event on Sunday 8 June! They showed incredible determination and courage, completing both swimming and running legs of the event. We are very proud of them all!

Our pupils have successfully collected an astounding 297 tins of food for our school charity, Warming Up The Homeless! They even constructed an impressive pyramid with all the donations, showcasing the incredible generosity of our school community.

Our Nursery pupils had a fantastic time at Sports Day! Some of our youngest pupils showed amazing enthusiasm and determination in all the activities. A big thank you to the Year 8 Sports Scholars and all the family members who helped make the event such a special experience.
