@AdvSchCommunity Bedford Free School Canoe Trail uniofbeds We have taken delivery of a truly lovely year group of Year 7s. They are so well behaved and polite and they are really doing the school a justice! A pleasure to be hosting BFS pupils today.
Great to have the amazing Seth Burkett drop into school today to hand over a signed copy of his wonderful book ‘The Boy in Brazil’. Seth judged our creative writing elective stories and kindly donated the prize!
Day 4 of Bedford Free School Activities Week. Yr7 had a fantastic time British Museum yr8 had an ecology day and yr9 put their curriculum knowledge of the Cold War to test at RAF Museum

Fantastic 1st week back Bedford Free School. Yr7 base camp teaching them the BFS way, introducing new traditions of whole yr group poetry and yr group singing (see our Facebook site for a video). Plus parent base camp to guide our yr7 parents on all things BFS.
Honoured to receive an ‘Inspired to play’ award Cricket East for engaging young people in cricket from Bedford Free School and our club link with the wonderful Kempston Hammers CC.

This evening saw KA Kempston host Bedford Free School and Biddenham Int School for our annual year 7 sports festival. Lots of great sportsmanship and team work shown throughout ! 🙌🏼
