Whilst this warm weather is nice for humans in flipflops, it's not great for our 4 legged friends. If it's too hot for you barefoot, don't make your dog walk on it 🐶

Our patrols have reported 3 people for fishing with no rod licence on the River Ivel - a rod licence is essential and you can get one on-line and it's cheaper than a fine and you don't lose your fishing tackle 🐟🐟🐟

Yesterday we had Combined Industries Theft Solutions training in relation to stolen plant and machinery. Massive thanks to Datatag and Leica Geosystems UK & Ireland for an informative day - we also managed to get a team photo on the way back to base

Yesterday we broke into a van (legally I might add!) and found a stolen roller inside. Plant and machinery theft costs this country £800 million a year. Our recovery is a small contribution towards helping prevent this and the investigation is ongoing #theft

We've had several reports of a sheep on the LEIGHTON BUZZARD by-pass over the last few weeks. Today, with the help of a local farmer and his excellent sheep dogs we managed to catch the lamb and return her safely back to her flock #LucyLambIsHome

Officers from the Wildlife & Rural Crime Team have prosecuted another 3 people for fishing offences including schedule 1 theft offences and not having a rod licence. It's simple, don't steal and get a rod licence 🐟

This week we convicted a hare courser of trespassing in pursuit of game (brown hares) with lurcher type dogs. It's only been illegal for 192 years! Brian FURY from Luton was fined £1818.00 - the highest fine we have seen in Bedfordshire for hare coursing to date!

As we are coming into the new season and there are a lot of heavy farm machinery entering the land, please remain vigilant as people with criminal intent may gain access via open gateways. Please continue to report crime and suspicious activity. PC 5675 HAYES W&RCT

Today we've re-homed yet another dog that had been used in hare coursing! This dog's now found its forever, loving home, away from the hare coursing scene, which we are very happy about! If you come hare coursing in Bedfordshire, you definitely risk losing your dog! #OpGALILEO

Last week's team effort... between the farming community, Response Policing and the RCAT we seized 2 vehicles following a hare coursing incident. The only way to stop rural crime is to work together and we're proud to work with these people to get these results!!! #OpGALILEO
