From Monday, pupils will be permitted to wear black shorts to school up to the end of term. They must be plain black and not tight fitting, or pupils will be sent home or work in our Ready to Learn room. Thanks for your support.

We had our Governors in school with us today meeting with Staff and Pupils and they had a fantastic lunch with quiche, salads, cheesecake and cakes all made from scratch by our catering students. Well done to our pupils and Mrs Hudson & Mrs Williams!! 📷📷

Yesterday we had some visitors in school to see our Yr7 pupils. Pepe the skunk, Hercules the Burmese Python, Simples the meercat and Freddy the rat, along with guinea pigs, an owl, bearded dragons & a Tortoise.

Year 8 taking advantage of the nice weather - practicing their shape and measurement skills by completing a Maths scavenger hunt. Outdoor Maths!!! 📷📷📷📷📷📷📷

Pupils visited Llanelli Wetland Centre yesterday, they had a fantastic time engaging with hands-on science. Observing bird ringing, helped catch and identify native bee species & even saw a White-tailed Eagle up close while learning about plans to reintroduce it to Wales.

On Monday Yr7 & pupils went on a Science trip to Legoland. While there they got to participate in a workshop all about how the rollercoasters are designed and built. Between the building of Lego bricks and the physics of the rollercoasters the pupils had a great STEM trip.

Yr12 had a great visit to Exeter University today with Mrs Hudson. seeing what Uni life has to offer and engaging in activities.

We had a lovely day today when all the Year 5 pupils from our cluster primary schools came to visit to see what its like to come to Bedwas!! We cant wait to see you all back here for transition days in Yr6 and have you join us is year 7!!!

Pupils will be allowed to wear their Bedwas High PE kit all next week due to the upcoming activities week. Normal reminders about no inappropriate clothing with pupils expected to dress as they would for normal PE lessons.

We have had an amazing Eisteddfod today!! 🤍❤💚 Pupils have competed in competitions both on and off the stage and have showcased the real talent we have here in Bedwas - we are very proud!!!! And the winning house is.............. 🥁....... EBWY!!! ❤❤ Llongyfarchiadau Ebwy!!!
