We are thrilled to announce that our former president, Anton Zeilinger, has received the The Nobel Prize in Physics “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science.” 🤩✨

If you believe that you're perfect, then somebody else must be responsible for your failures. That's one of the behavioral patterns that predispose narcissists to conspiracies. For Big Think, I write on the link between narcissism and conspiracy theories. bigthink.com/neuropsych/nar…

Such a nice thread this. Not exactly, but i had a similar story. It was an inter school quiz competition. The leaders answered anything from Nobel prizes and black holes. Then came, what causes Tuberculosis? Everyone passed, including me. Still think of that day.

Last year, I received a National Press Foundation grant to cover rare diseases. This is the first story as part of that effort and I have more story ideas. If you know a publication/editor commissioning articles on rare diseases, please let me know. Thanks!

Delivery of therapeutic molecules is a major bottleneck for treating a wide range of diseases. Today we describe a new modality for delivering proteins based on an engineered contractile injection system @nature nature.com/articles/s4158…

For a story, I’m looking to speak to people working on energy-efficient genome analysis. Or scientists who perform a lot of genome analysis in their work and would like to share their experience with computational bottlenecks. If that's you, please reach out to me. #JournoRequest

Smarter algos and accelerated hardware are eliminating genome analysis bottlenecks, improving both speed and energy efficiency across #genomics pipelines. For the latest issue of GEN Biotechnology, I write about some of these efforts. liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/ge…

Gender-equitable families are happy families. They're also healthier families. Using Japanese birth cohort data, researchers showed that children with highly involved fathers are less likely to have developmental delays. I write for Asian Scientist Magazine. asianscientist.com/2023/09/in-the…
