Took the train to Slade Green this morning and walked over Crayford Marshes for the first time. Cuckoo singing beyond the breakers yards and forklifts. Hedgerow alive with whitethroat. Common sandpiper, oystercatcher and avocet at the mouth of the Darent. Urban birding 😍
