For those who don't already know let us introduce you to FSU two-way Ben Barrett AKA "TALLY OHTANI"‼️Ben has been a staple at the ARMory training with us all throughout his high school years. Ben had a tremendous high school career and made an immediate impact at FSU this year!

I think Ben Barrett has a chance to eat up a bulk amount of innings this season. All over the zone today, 0 BBs in 4 IPs. Keeps hitters off balance and generates weak contact on the ground consistently. FB up to 94 today. FB-SL-CH mix:

Link Jarrett on Ben Barrett getting on the mound in a scrimmage for the first time this fall this past week: "If he can do what he did yesterday on the mound, it will help us. That was probably the most pleasant surprise this fall, he was up to (9)5." Video from last preseason:

Ben Barrett was up to 95 MPH with his sinking fastball today. Getting up to 19-20 inches of horizontal movement on the FB. Sat 93-95, paired with slider at 86-88. SL generated three swings-and-misses. Two strikeouts in two frames.

Ben Barrett's velocity continues to tick up. Touched 97 with his powerful sinker and sat 94-96 over two frames. Pairs it with a nasty cutter (87-89) that tied up left-handed hitters.
