I’ve never understood when trainers make a point to say: ā€œwe don’t work out, we train.ā€ We train hard and with intention, but I still say ā€œwork outā€ with my clients because that’s how normal people talk. Even elite athletes will say ā€œlet’s work out tomorrow,ā€ not ā€œlet’s trainā€

Here’s a great full-body complex that you can do with just one dumbbell. I think people of all levels will dig this one. instagram.com/reel/CshC8pjLG…

A lot of trainers use social media either 1) to argue with other trainers or 2) to try to sound smart to other trainers, and then they’re miffed that they don’t have the business or following they want. Focusing your efforts on the people you want to help will take you further.

Let’s talk about the fact that Jokic is lifting weights right after his team swept the Lakers and clinched a spot in the NBA Finals. He’s literally lifting while everyone else celebrates. I love that!

This is awesome. As someone who went through a tough back surgery when I was a sophomore in college, I really relate to this story. I didn’t know about Michael Porter Jr’s back story (pun intended), but I’m a big fan now. Serious respect šŸ‘Š theringer.com/nba-finals/202…

I don’t think there’s anything that makes my glutes more sore than heavy slideboard reverse lunges. Anyone else?

I’m seeing a trend of athletes doing a move with the trap bar or RDLs where you briefly let go of the bar and catch it before it lands—using light weights. Useful move, or internet exercise? I’ve seen NBA guys doing it and I don’t get the point, but maybe I’m missing something?

Dear Apple, this is GREAT progress. Now if can you please fix ā€˜glutes’ autocorrecting to ā€˜flutes.’ Very few people care about flutes, but everyone loves #datass nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna8…

Here’s some really impressive work from Scott Stallings. If you train rotational athletes—or if you play golf yourself— I think you’ll appreciate just how good this is. instagram.com/reel/Ctt8bxuAV…

Strength training is the cheat code to unlocking your genetic potential and achieving YOUR best body, but try not to compare yourself to other people because we’re all built differently.

As everyone starts posting their Spotify ā€œWrappedā€ stuff, I feel compelled to say that I still think Apple Music is better

Serious question: what’s the healthiest type of bread to get at a restaurant? I love sandwiches or having toast with breakfast, but I also like making good food choices. They used to say multigrain or whole wheat, but then I started hearing sourdough. What do you think?

I’m seeing more or more ppl doing good mornings on social media. To me, unless you’re a powerlifter looking to build your squat, I truly see no reason to do a good morning over a RDL—which allows for more loading and less stress on the back. Is there something I’m missing?

Today at lunch I was waiting behind one other guy in line for the bathroom. When it came time for his turn, he turned to me and goes ā€œyou go ahead. I’m just trying to get a little break from my family.ā€
