Because it's so outrageous, I'm going to start at the bottom of the barrel with Tucker for this thread on Zelensky's visit to DC, the Biden admin's success and failure, and the future of American support for Ukraine and global security. 1/10

WSJ covered resident unions today. Article dropped 3h ago; 400+ comments already. My fave is “There was no issue with work-life balance until women became MDs!” But don’t worry, Stockholm syndrome, the bootstraps brigade, and socialized medicine fearmongering are there, too.

Want to improve physician wellness? 1. eliminate non-compete clauses 2. 12 weeks paid new parent leave 3. get rid of shifts longer than 16 hours for housestaff 4. Long term: train and hire more physicians so that 1 FTE= 1 FTE What am I missing?

This is next level.Nikita: built an app called tbh where teens could compliment each other, anonymously. Facebook bought the app and shut it down. Nikita vested out, then built an app called Gas where teens could compliment each other, anonymously. Discord bought the app and…

It wasn't until I was an intern that I truly understood the pointlessness and cruelty of Step 3. Making interns, who already work the longest hours in the hospital, use precious free time to study for a THIRD board exam does nothing but burn out residents and enrich the NBME.

We recently told you about Chris McNaughton, the college student who had to sue UnitedHealthcare to get his ulcerative colitis treatment covered. Now hear Chris’ story in his own words 🧵👇

I have posted this before but .. 26 years ago, a gunman entered Dunblane Primary School in Scotland, killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK govt responded by enacting tight gun control legislation. In the 9400+ days since, there have been a total of O school shootings in the UK.

Today I got two rejections for ESD procedures by UnitedHealthcare labeling it "experimental". Guidelines for ESD exist for years. @uhc are denying patients organ preserving yet curative procedures for precancerous polyps. This is unacceptable and as a medical community we need to stand up!

Wow thank you for these generous short term loans that do not cover expenses and will have to be paid back. UnitedHealth Group made 5 billion profit last quarter.

And FYI- half of the patients supplements came from protocols touted by Mark Hyman (Cleveland Clinic) David Sinclair (Harvard University) & Andrew Huberman (Stanford Medicine). So no, academia is not the pillar of evidence based medicine, patients are sadly left to sort out fact vs fiction.

Physicians want to open hospitals where other entities have failed. The Affordable Care Act prevents these physicians from building hospitals in the communities of need. Instead they can only build clinics. It’s time to repeal Section 6001 of the Act. This is in the community
