Many thanks to the 31 sites which participated in Saturday's #westmidsalldayer. Some v good totals considering limited passage on the day. A 3 way tie at the top with Ladywalk, Middleton & Branston recording 101 species. Yet to add up but think c150 species were noted on the day.

How does the song of a Wood Warbler make you feel? The sound of hazy deep green light in ancient forests. The sound of peaceful dappled glades that provide respite from the hot sun. Listening to this song in southern England today made me feel something similar to grief.
