Please RT: my lab has a salaried PhD student position available [bit.ly/3gv9X7z]. This project will use 7T computational neuroimaging of human vision to study the interactions between action, perception, and memory.

Thrilled to share this work collaborated with Shir Hofstetter, ben harvey, Serge Dumoulin and others, now is available at Nature Communications: doi.org/10.1038/s41467… where we found subitizing (<4 items) and estimation ranges are represented on the same topographic numerosity maps,

In our new article, we ask how changes pRF size, visual field map size, retinal thickness and acuity are related during healthy human ageing. With colleagues from the University of Coimbra. In the Visual System issue of Brain Structure and Function. link.springer.com/article/10.100…

In our new review paper at TiCS, we explore how neural tuning for quantities (like numerosity, event timing and object size) underlies their perception. We review recent advances in this brain-behavior relationship and new predictions it makes. doi.org/10.1016/j.tics…

In our new article w/Shir Hofstter ben harvey Serge Dumoulin (@[email protected]) in Cell Rep, we ask how attention affects neural numerosity-selective response and find that attention is necessary to numerosity response, while without attention, response to preferred numerosity is suppressed.

Our new paper at Nature Communications shows how visual timing-tuned neural responses emerge gradually through the visual hierarchy and abstract temporal responses from spatial responses. With @evi_hendrikx Jacob Paul Martijn van Ackooij Nathan Van der Stoep doi.org/10.1038/s41467…

1/3 I am recruiting graduate students interested in understanding the cognitive and neural mechanisms that support mathematical cognition and executive functions and how those relate to math development. Join me in Nashville at Vanderbilt! Due Dec. 1st . Reach out if interested!
