So an insane story by Basel Musharbash, a private equity roll-up of fire trucks is why more than half the fire trucks in Los Angeles were out of service during the catastrophic wildfires in the Palisades and Eaton.

Great to see such commitment. Human Rights Watch continues to call on the Thai govt not to deport the Uyghurs to China. Instead, Thailand should allow the UN refugee agency to screen the 48 Uyghurs so they can move on to a safe third country, from a decade of immigration detention in Thailand.

A new investigation by +972 Magazine exposes how Israel weaponized toxic gas to asphyxiate Hamas militants and leveled entire residential blocks with bunker-buster bombs. Israeli forces authorized killing 3-digit numbers of civilians and killed Israeli hostages. 972mag.com/tunnels-hamas-…

USAID is the better example here because the organization does a huge amount of lifesaving humanitarian work that doubles as a cheap investment in soft power and then its employees will also get caught red-handed drumming up coups in Cuba. apnews.com/united-states-…

I just heard NPR call “DOGE” “Musk’s government efficiency team.” That seems like journo malpractice at this point - repeating the disingenuous self-description of a team that, the evidence suggests, has far different aims than just making efficiency tweaks.

Today, at a hearing in the South Bangkok Criminal Court regarding the unlawful detention of 43 Uyghur men for 11–12 years, I testified as an expert witness. My statement in English is below. The Thai and Uyghur versions will be posted soon.

This is insane. The US government is dumping Asian and African families and children in random countries that they have no connection to. Dumping, not "deporting." Deportation implies the return of a person to their home country. This is treating people like toxic waste.

Journalist Sam Husseini was removed from Blinken's last press conference. Removing journalists, refusing to answer questions, gaslighting, and impeding freedom of the Press has been a bi-partisan endeavor. Just many liberals didn't care when a Democrat was POTUS.

A major shift in Thaliand concerning 43 Uyghur asylum seekers. A Bangkok court has found there is merit to proceed with the hearing to decide if their detention is unlawful. If their detention is ruled unlawful, the detainees may be released.
