Congratulations to Bennekerry National School who defeated Gaelscoil Eoghain Uí Thuairisc in the Allianz Ireland Div 1 final this evening. Both teams battled hard in the rucks, worked tirelessly defending & were very evenly matched with Bennekerry getting a late last score to ensure the win. Cumann na mBunscol

We had a celebratory assembly for our school camogie team this afternoon, along with a presentation of medals & a Q&A session! We rounded off the day with some ice-cream! We also congratulated the boys football team who recently won the Gemma Hanlon Memorial blitz. CnamB Ceatharlach

Today we had the wonder dance teacher Caoimhe Byrne come visit us for Active School Week! The pupils had a brilliant time learning dancing and playing games! Active School Flag
What an amazing day the fourth class pupils had visiting Explorium where Science was soooo much fun! We followed this with a trip to the sunny playground in Marley Park. Explorium Ireland
We had a basketball blitz today for the senior classes in the glorious sunshine with lots of skills on show! We finished off the day with a teachers v pupils match! Another great day of activity as the classes also try to complete a marathon on our walkway track! Active School Flag
We bid our 6th class a fond farewell today as we lined up to clap them out the school gate and onto their next adventure! They have been a brilliant crew and we wish them well! K&L Diocese Ireland

2nd class spent a lovely day in Lullymore Park on their school tour. There was so much to see and do and they had a blast!
We want to acknowledge these 12 brilliant girls who were chosen from all the schools & pupils in the county to represent Carlow in the Allianz Ireland Leinster blitz. Although the competition didn’t go ahead, I’m sure we’ll see these girls shine for their clubs & county soon!
