Blue 6 at Benton Dene School have done Rob Biddulph’s #DrawWithRob regularly all year as part of their daily mindfulness session. They’re so proud of their drawings and so are we! What do you think Rob?! They have a booklet each of all their drawings to take home. Benton Dene School

Happy new year! Red 1 explored wet and dry clay today. We compared the different states of the material and explored what happened when the truth of dried clay had water poured into it. It hissed and gurgled! We then made thumb pots which we turned into dinosaurs! Benton Dene School
Wow! Look at the model of an elf like creature Lee in B7 has made at home! We are so impressed with his modelling skills, anatomy and ability to create textures! He asked his mum to open her mouth so he could copy how it should look. Benton Dene School
Benton Dene School are proud to announce that we have gained our Artsmark Gold Award! It’s been a challenge, with a maternity leave and a pandemic in the mix, but we did it! Benton Dene School Culture Bridge NE North Tyneside Learning Trust Artsmark
G6, who are in Y2, had great fun last week exploring snail spirals, inspired by Paula Briggs @AccessArt. They’ve been exploring line and colour and how different artists and architects, such as Bridget Riley and Frederick Hundertwasser, use line in their work. Benton Dene School
Red 2 had great fun exploring textures last week and how we can use texture in print and crayon rubbings. We then explored how we can press objects into clay to create textures and then their imaginations ran wild! Buildings, boats and Pinocchio! Benton Dene School
Red 1 completed their backdrop for the Summer Show yesterday. They’ve used marble art, printing and painting to create a moon scene and have really enjoyed it! Benton Dene School
We were finally able to put on our Summer Performance, which all of KS2 work on in their spring Art, DT, Music and Drama lessons. Professor Azaroth has stolen the Queens Jewels and it’s up to the brave wizards at Bogburps School for Young Wizards to find them! Benton Dene School
