"The greatest hazard of all, losing oneself, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss (an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc.) is sure to be noticed." - Søren Kierkegaard (The Sickness Unto Death)

“People are shocked by what an American high school gym class looked like in the 1960s.” The rapid physical decline of young men wasn’t accidental.

Well said 👏 Playing the 'antipsychiatry' card is avoidance of conversations that those harmed by psychiatric interventions need to have. It is a selfish and lazy response. Disturbing to see psychiatrists and psychologists doing this.

Today we have launched legal action against the MoD and the UK government for failing to hold a public inquiry into the crash which killed our relatives. Time for answers. #chinookjustice bbc.com/news/articles/…

It is shameful that this is the state of affairs when SSRIs have been on the market over 3 decades. Millions will have suffered during that time, many stuck on drugs they cannot get off.

"...failure by the MoD to apply appropriate safeguards in order to protect the passengers and crew". Solicitor Mark Stephens added: "In fact, they were put on board an aircraft that was known to be positively dangerous and should never have taken off."

I've just submitted a comment to the FDA to support this important petition to update the drug label to reflect the true extent of withdrawal effects (worse for longer users) and safer approaches to tapering. You should too! bit.ly/3ZaKYfg

Charge £600 to resident doctors in core psychiatry training for exam practice. A mandatory exam that they will also have to pay for (c. £1100 each attempt). Along with their annual pre-membership fees (c. £160 PA). I mean what the actual heck is Royal College of Psychiatrists thinking…

Millions deceived by the chemical imbalance are no longer deceived so an alternative narrative is needed to try to hook people onto the drugs!

Establishment psych will make up any bullshit rather than just admit they temporarily numb or energize people—until the effect inevitably wears off leaving the person worse off

Earth to mental health industry: Patients are allowed to conclude that the psychiatric system at the heart of is at best unhelpful and at worst dangerous. Patients are allowed to tell the world they found your prescriptions (ultimately) unhelpful. Patients are allowed to say

We are in the midst of an epidemic. We have haphazardly put so many people on antidepressants and have no idea how to safely get them off. The standard medical protocols for discontinuation are not just inadequate—they're dangerous, often triggering severe withdrawal reactions
