I learned from this paper that patients reporting urticaria/cutaneous reactions lasting MORE than 1 day are considered LOW risk for reactions to other B-lactams. They almost never tested positive by skin test (0.9%), compared to those w/ reactions resolving in < 1d (51.5%).
