The drunk driver of GU17OBK smashed their car into the pedestrian crossing on Denmark Hill during the early morning rush hour. There are 2 lanes each way on this road by the junction with Acland Cres, but they still managed to destroy the crossing.

@TransformTH led a deputation to Lambeth's Full Council tonight to urge them to support safety improvements at Tulse Hill  Gyratory. The council agreed to press TfL for funding for a major scheme & if that doesn't work explore a developer-funded scheme &/ or targeted improvements

We could have done this to London, starting 20 years ago. I visited Paris as Ken Livingstone's Deputy Mayor and reported on Paris' plans. But here there was too much opposition from drivers of all kinds. And Tories obv.

When governments stop forcing developers to build car storage instead of homes, more homes are built. When more homes are built, homes become more affordable. This is basic economics. Crazy that people still think studies are needed.
