Last night, Tracy and I welcomed members of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art to Old Town. We shared stories of Greek Revival architecture, preservation, and a sense of place in Middle Tennessee—an evening rooted in history, land, and legacy.

Tracy and I had our first date at the Bluebird Café. Last night, we returned—with 50 friends from California, including Steve Case and Ken Burns—for an unforgettable evening of music with Clint Black, Lisa Hartman Black, their daughter Lily Pearl, and Steve Wariner.

Did you know this little smokehouse at Old Town in Franklin once belonged to Jimmy Buffett? He turned it into the “Old Town Theatre” in the ‘90s — and the compass rose in the floor inspired the Changes in Latitudes album cover. Now, it’s our farm office.
