Brian Chesky's 10 CEO plays: 1. Live in the details 2. Stay small 3. Stay flat. Stay functional. Have as few people and as few layers as possible for as long as possible. 4. Hire your direct reports—and their direct reports. 5. Speak for yourself. 6. Review all the work. 7.

I've noticed the best CEO's are only somewhat coachable. They very much have a mind of their own and don't take everything I say as gospel. That's a good sign, imho.

One of the attributes of the trillion dollar CEO's (Jobs, Gates, Bezos, Musk, Jensen) is that they have very thick skin. Karri Saarinen is CEO of Linear - he has this attribute in spades. ...His thoughts on the topic are 🎯.

Woo hoo! I'm ludicrously excited about the OpenAI announcement today that ChatGPT now has a connector built right in for HubSpot to bring data in for deep research. Super cool to see the HubSpot logo inside the world's most popular AI app.

Klarna gets attention for efficiency gains—we shrank from ~5500 to ~3000 people in two years. But I have always highlighted AI is only part of that story. Here is how we got away from analysis/paralysis and into customer obsession and centricity:
