It’s been a really difficult year thus far on Irish dairy farms to manage grass and maintain feed quality. This event on July 24th at Ballyhaise will show the impacts of sward type on the performance of dairy systems on heavier soils during a difficult year. All are welcome.

A strong message at #Ballyhaise24 was to switch to low chemical N clover swards in grazing systems☘️ With over 80% of feed from pastures, clover boosts efficiency and reduces the expense of feed imports and so cuts costs while remaining environmentally sustainable. Teagasc

#DYK Data from Teagasc Moorepark shows that cows grazing on grass-white clover swards with an average annual white clover content of 21% had a 1 kg/cow higher total DMI compared to those on grass-only swards. A message highlighted at Ballyhaise 24 this week 🍀 ClieNFarms
