This weekend, April 11-12, 2025, there are several National Highways road closures in the Birmingham area. Specifically, the M54 westbound will be fully closed between junction 2 and junction 3. Additionally, the M42 will have overnight closures (9pm-5am) in both directions

UPDATE | A man has been arrested and the M42 has now re-opened after it was closed for several hours this morning. The 52-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences, affecting public infrastructure criminal damage & other offences.
