Via TorontoToday we spoke alongside Gig Workers United about incentivized dangerous behaviours in the food delivery game plus the reality that delivery couriers are not causing collisions in any number near those caused by motorists: torontotoday.ca/local/transpor…

Last night people bikes rode in the rain for bike lanes. Immediately Toronto Police were antagonistic. A dozen bike cops arrived early & took over the main gathering point. The bike cops attending were the same ones who had arrested the Fridays Stantec protestors 1/5

Disgusting display, Chief Myron Demkiw, yet sadly unsurprising -- TPS never miss an opportunity to screw people on bikes.

Meanwhile, every day drivers by the dozens choose their convenience over our safety by parking their vehicles illegally in the Bloor bike lanes. They do so with an apparent sense of entitlement and impunity created in no small part by the lack of enforcement by Toronto Police

It's never been clearer that we need more ways to get safely from A to B, not less. That's why I'm joining Cycle Toronto this Saturday from 2-4pm, for their Kidical Mass Ride at Queen's Park. You can find more here, as we fight for safer streets for all:

We could still renew the West Island as an amazing public park for less that what it will cost to build the parking for Ontario Place for Everyone’s private indoor spa.

Montreal is once again showing the rest of North America how to transform a lot of streets for people — 8 commercial streets in #Montreal are “pedestrianized” [turned into great people-places] this summer, with 7.3km across 6 boroughs. Plus small sections. montreal.citynews.ca/2025/05/26/mon…

Yesterday, Bike Share Toronto reached a record 36,000 trips! In addition the 14-day average is about 20% higher than this time last year. The popularity of the system is exploding, and our governments need to support a safe and connected cycling network.

My Toronto Star column: Bike Share Toronto is booming. We’re smashing ridership records. But it’s not enough. The growth still leaves us way behind bike share ridership in Montreal With better balancing and more infrastructure, I think we can beat them thestar.com/opinion/contri…
