#MorningPrayer At times of loss, Lord, our cry can be ‘in the midst of life, we are in death’; renew our faith and our joy at your empty tomb, and remind us that in you we find that in the midst of death, we are in life, for your love overcomes all and leads us into your kingdom.

#MorningPrayer Lord, give us grace to come to you; not merely as a member of a crowd, curious to see a show, but with a true desire to encounter you, to know your love, to find your peace, to be made whole, to enter into the new life of your kingdom. Meet us; draw us to yourself.

#MorningPrayer As you seek us out day by day, Lord, make us ready to meet you, to hold before you our hopes and fears, our joys and challenges. Remind us that whatever binds or holds us back from life in you, you can unbind and release, that we may know the fullness of your love.

#MorningPrayer You renew us, Lord, with the life of your kingdom, a living hope bursting even through death and revealing your unshakeable promise of love, life and light into which you welcome us and call us to live. Guide us to live out this inheritance with and for all people.

#MorningPrayer Lord, give us grace and strength, courage and confidence, to stand against the ‘dragons’ that seek to consume our lives by greed and selfishness, by the lust for power, control, status or wealth. Clothe us in your love, that we may know the richness of life in you.

#MorningPrayer Direct our paths, Lord, in the way you want us to go. Open our minds to see with your vision, rather than our own perspectives. Help our hearts to beat with your longings, rather than our self-centred desire. Guide our lives into the life and peace of your kingdom.

#MorningPrayer Ready us, Lord, to encounter you, to recognise the signs of your passion as we witness the joy of your resurrection. Keep us ready to know your peace and your promises, your call and your challenge to meet the woundedness of the world with the life of your kingdom.

#MorningPrayer As we face the trials and temptations of life, Lord, keep us open to the guidance of your Holy Spirit, keep us full of the wisdom of your kingdom, keep us faithful to the way you call us to travel. Let us put our trust in your love and not the love of selfish gain.

#MorningPrayer Offer us, Lord, the opportunity not only to say that we love you, but to show that we love you, by the ways in which we offer ourselves to nurture and nourish others, to take the cross of self-giving rather than bear the weight of self-serving and self-centredness.

#MorningPrayer Keep us, Lord, faithful to you and to your call to follow in the way that you lead us. When we are distracted by our tendency to wondering and wandering, when we are diverted by the changes and chances of life, draw our attention back to you, and help us to follow.

#MorningPrayer Lord, help us to know your voice more and more clearly day by day, as you call us to yourself and lead us in your way, that we may know the life you offer in the abundance of your kingdom, with the abundance of the flock you gather from many folds; made one in you.

#MorningPrayer You bless us, Lord, in your love and adopt us as your family into the fullness of your grace and your promises, into an inheritance of wholeness and peace, the inheritance of your kingdom. Inspire us to live out these blessings for the world, that all may know you.

#MorningPrayer Lord, inspire us to love one another as you love us; to seek not only the wellbeing of each other, but also the joy of it; to be thankful for the ways in which each enhances our common life in you, revealing more of your image, and of the inheritance that we share.
