I loved the excellent Believe in Scotland Yes for EU #Indy+ EU membership event in Dundee today. Very proud of my darling wife João Kay who gave an inspirational speech drawing on her experience of Scotland and Portugal, which commits her to the cause of Scottish independence in Europe.

Serie A fans watching Napoli v Genoa tonight might just have realised that the man in tangerine in goal for Genoa was none other than ex Dundee United FC keeper Benji Siegrist.

In the dark ages of the 1980s, Glasgow’s Evening Times printed beside the billing for my Odyssey TV series: "Billy Kay, the man with the broadest accent in broadcasting, mouths gutteral [sic] noises about the Temperance Movement". The colonised mentality & cringe personified.

Al Millar Billy Kay FRLSU Billy's voice seemed to contain the wind of Kell and the songs of Ulster. What he expressed in the Scottish dialect was not just words, but the memories and emotions of an entire nation. I really envied those present who could listen to his live recitation.

Said this about Keir Starmer a little under 2 years ago. I should’ve said going whichever way the wind was blowing but I still think I hit the nail on the head. He’s out-Toried the Tories to get elected so now he thinks he’s got to be fash like Farage to stay there.

The ‘strangers’ I see are the Labour MPs taking winter fuel cash from pensioners, cutting disability benefits, cheering on Brexit, putting people out of work in the North Sea, upping taxes on hospices & care homes, and selling weapons to a state starving a civilian population.
