Thrilled to share our latest work published in Genetics Society of America. This report links translation repressor protein Scd6 with glycolytic enzyme Tdh3 and Rom2 (guanine nucleotide exchange factor). We thank Department of Biotechnology and DSTIndia for the support. Many congratulations to KM Lab. The findings show that Hop1, a meiosis-specific protein in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, exhibits robust DNA-independent ATPase activity. Mutations in its ATP-binding site impair activity, reduce DNA binding, and alter meiotic crossover frequency.
