Our time Robinwood Activity Centre has sadly come to a close. It has been three action packed days full of amazing activities & our pupils have shown great bravery in attempting the challenges put in front of them! We are certain they will sleep well tonight after sharing some stories.

We're extremely proud of our Y5 teams, who represented the academy fantastically in the U10's league yesterday. On the pitch, they showed the values triumphed by the academy including courage on the ball, team work and respect to great opposition - @StradbrokePrimary & Brunswick Community Primary School

Our pupils have been taking part in weekly STEM sessions delivered by the STEMazing team - who promote women in Science. Last week, they were introduced to aerodynamics by making spinners. Our children loved launching them & slowing them down on video to see the forces in action.

Yesterday was 'Don't Stand Alone Day' so our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors delivered an assembly to introduce themselves & explain their role. They shared the important message that nobody should feel alone if they experience or witness bullying behaviour - detailing how we can help!

You are lucky to be receiving such a wonderful group The Birley Academy! We hope they enjoy their next two days and we look forward to welcoming them back on Thursday.

After re-opening the doors to the academy on Monday morning, we have been really impressed with how our pupils have adapted to their new teachers, environments and timetables. It's been amazing having pupils back again and we can't wait for the fun-filled academic year ahead!

The Sumdog Contest begins Friday! During contest week, children are to answer questions as accurately as they can & the class with the highest average number of correct answers wins! There’s a limit of 1,000 questions over the week so we encourage pupils to do a little each day.

This week, children throughout the academy will be taking part in 'Road Safety' lessons! These sessions will allow our children to build upon their current understanding of how to stay safe around roads as they explore key road safety issues relevant to their age group.

The children across our academy were very excited to receive two Axolotls from one of our generous parents earlier this week. Our pupils have shown great excitement when they have managed to spot them in the tank and they have also been busy suggesting fantastic ideas for names!

Rock and Roll!🤘Our pupils all enjoyed yesterday's assembly hosted by Rock Steady! We were treated to demonstrations of numerous instruments, sang some popular hits before 12 lucky pupils were selected to form their own bands. We look forward to welcoming Rock Steady back soon!
