On this Labor Day I am praying and recommitting to support workers and their rights starting with farmworkers in CA and across the country. Let’s not forget what this day is truly about.

Friends we need to pray for Nicaragua. For young people who are being tortured and killed for seeking justice. For the faithful who are caring for their families. For the future of the people of this long-suffering country. God have mercy.

Late last night returning from the memorial service of a beloved mentor and friend,my young LYFT driver, Kameron, offered me condolences and then said, “I’m here for you…”. In that moment he gave me so much hope. In our brokenness we can be family for one another. ♥️

Still praying for all victims of the Club Q shooting and our LGBQI+ siblings across the country & the Transgender community globally. We must engage in action including conversation with children & young people about how wrong these deadly incidents are as hard as this may be.

Thank God for the people of El Paso, TX! They teach us how to humanely welcome suffering migrants. It isn’t done by erecting barbed wire fences, or forcing people to wait piled up in the cold like unwanted merchandise, or separating children from their families. Thank you EP!
