We're excited to award lui§chwab a year long project grant for his work on integrating Floresta, a Utreexo-powered node implementation, with BDK, through the bdk-floresta crate. Huge thanks to Vinteum for their early support for Luis via their Vinteum Fellowship program.

Very grateful for Human Rights Foundation (HRF) 's support for Nymius's work to develop and integrate silent payments tech for BDK based wallets! It's still cutting edge stuff but making great progress: github.com/bitcoindevkit/…

Here is a shoutout to the Bitcoin Dev Kit team and specially to their Android Engineer thunderbiscuit helping us overcome the new requirements of Google Play in such short notice 🧡🍑 Bitcoiners Together Strong and Buidl

it's gets more rad: an engineer from Block bitkey team contributed this specific code to bdk-ffi, that thunderbiscuit then hustled to port to a different release for Peach Bitcoin 🍑 Block <-> Bitcoin Dev Kit <-> Peach Bitcoin 🍑 free open source software.

Adding Bitcoin Dev Kit to Fully Noded is a huge security upgrade, the underlying library is built in Rust, which is memory safe. Libwally, what FN currently uses is built in C and is not memory safe. This means an attacker would be much less likely to extract private key
