One primary clarification that needs to be made about assessment is the purpose. 👑 Formative Assessment FOR Learning (dynamic) 🚑 Formal Assessment OF Learning (static) The assessment types should be balanced with formative assessment comprising 80-90% of the time.

Some systemic inequities have long existed for some of our students. Some of your students are the only person in their household who have a job. We must be careful in our conversations and not judge the priorities of these kids.

If it’s truly a core value, you must find a way to measure it.
