Sometimes, bad guys lie to seem worse than they actually are.

There are big news stories about the Proud Boys out there today and to be perfectly blunt about it: the group has not earned this level of coverage and it is not a group of people worth taking at their word. They are ridiculing news orgs in their chats. They think it’s funny.

I hope those of you who can take the opportunity to vote. A lot of people are working around the clock, across political divides, and with high integrity to keep elections safe and ensure every vote is counted. Please show your election workers some love today too.

Some liberal accounts are cooking up bizarre "fraud" theories about Donald Trump's win and demanding a recount using #DoNotConcedeKamala. There's zero evidence of widespread irregularities in the election and many votes are still being counted.

There was this thing called the Covid pandemic in 2020, which meant people were stuck indoors and therefore the huge drive for voting by mail led to a high turnout. And your chart is wrong because many 2024 votes are still being counted, including in deep blue California.

Public safety, although often politicized, is not a partisan issue. We all have equal rights to safety. We continue to monitor extremist and terrorist violence, domestic and international, and work with diverse stakeholders to prevent harm as we build a safer world for all.

I look forward to the 12,000 books, of course, in addition to all the op-eds and punditry already circulating about how the Democrats lost the US election this time around...
