In the conversation for the best Raynor green, the 10th at Blue Mound. The long par 4's green has 3 channels that run through the green creating small sections including what the members call the "pizza slice" where the pin is in these photos.

Blue Mound is a club where golf exists at its most fun. The fantastic putting surfaces are its defense against par and the firm and fast conditions allow creativity to run rampant. The templates are incredibly fun to play and fit well on this gently rolling site in Milwaukee.

My round at Blue Mound G&CC (Seth Raynor, 1926) marked another high for me in 2021. Blue Mound isn't as flat as one might think; golf balls are at the will of its contours and rippling greens. History, prestige, and strategy form a perfect union at this living golden-age puzzle.

The maintenance team at Blue Mound was put to the test during the 2022 Mid-Am when rain and flooding wreaked havoc on an already tight schedule. They managed to push through with specialized equipment and lots of help from staff, volunteers, & friends ➡️bit.ly/3FGVvGa

I was thrilled to play my first Seth Raynor design at Blue Mound CC just west of Milwaukee. Coming in at #5 on #TweederTop50in2022, this perfectly conditioned gem has the best green complexes I’ve played west of Pinehurst No. 2. The stretch of holes 7-13 are absolutely fantastic!
