I am so proud of these two books, one on intimacy, one on masculinity, which have helped me grow as a writer and a critic. On days when I feel like I should be doing more, writing more, making more… I’m happy I can turn to my shelf and beam at these accomplishments, at least.

I moderated a lovely chat yesterday for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books! Despite a torrential downpour, people still showed up for queer Latine memoirs. Thanks to Manuel Betancourt, El Norte Recuerda and Edgar Gomez for telling their stories 🌹
