If steel collapses in Port Talbot, that's market forces, sorry. If it collapses in Scunthorpe? A special Saturday sitting and nationalisation, we'll save your jobs. Absolutely infuriating. Glad for the workers, but such a slap in the face for those who were left behind in Wales.

Today Radio 4. So called energy expert rubbishing the idea of zonal energy pricing. His view. Awful idea 41 million people in the south of England would be saddled with the highest bills. Get it Scotland. You can have the pylons but you can't have the price benefit. Says it all.

We all understand the implications, so let's simplify it: regional pricing is not feasible because some areas in England would end up paying more while Scotland would pay less. The Union cannot function in this way; it is primarily designed to benefit England.

Scotland, Europe's 2nd biggest oil producer, now has to import all of its oil products - petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, etc. - at inflated prices. Wealth extracted. Dependency entrenched. Aspirations of a generation gone. We can do so much better than this Scotland.

An absolute travesty for the workers and country that Grangemouth has come to this. Much, much more could and should have been done.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Col de L'Ecosse 🦄 Channel 4 News I reviewed the Channel 4 News clip. Steve Reed claimed Scotland's pollution levels are worse than England's to oppose nationalization. However, 2025 data contradicts this: SEPA reports 87% of Scottish bathing waters as Excellent/Good (50 Excellent), with overall quality at record
