You're all being very quiet this evening - or are you out enjoying the Summer. Thunder was rumbling around mid Devon earlier - a very British heatwave! #devonbookhour

I'm pondering a get-together in late september/early October as part of our 10th anniversary celebrations in October. Who'd be up for that? In a central venue somewhere, preferably book-related. Any ideas? #devonbookhour

Outlander, eh? Not reasd them but know many people love them too. Great example with Jean Rhys . I loved that too. #devonbookhour

One for all you sci-fi fans - THE TIME DIARY, by Torbay writer Scott Evans. A humorous, breezy read, packed with character driven chaos and good old British humour. The eBook edition is just 99p all July (and free on July 21st) on Amazon: amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F8VG16RP

Hi everyone. I'm afraid that, once again, I've got my timings wrong. Been walking on the Jurassic Coast and haven't left enough time to get back for devonbookhour so, feel free to post your book news but there won't be a hosted session this evening.

I am re-posting this as I've just discovered the #booktwt community. Hello everyone. I am an author and an avid reader - especially historical fiction and thrillers. Just read Inceptio (fantastic!) by Alison Morton. #BookTwitter #booklover Devon Book Club

The weather has been amazing this last month hasn't it? What beach/garden reads have you been enjoying? I'm continuing with my theme of Japanese writers/books set in Japan ahead of my trip in October. Been reading some crackers - the latest is this one. Loving it #devonbookhour

I need to make a decision about August. I'm going to be away in France for the whole month and will struggle to maintain #devonbookhour so we either rest it until September (which I used to do as it goes quiet usually) or someone/some people offer to host for the month. Thoughts?

A reminder that we agreed to pause #devonbookhour for August, although if you drop by between 8 and 9 you may find bookish friends lurking 🙂 Keep the book news coming.
