I can honestly say that play-based approaches to literacy invigorate me. I had as much fun teaching the TCs as they had learning.“This is me and my son sharing words of affirmation in the mirror”. York University I love also how some TCs connected to the story culturally. ❤️

Using playful strategies and discussion to support vocabulary development and comprehension. “I learned that all people can be birders irrespective of their disabilities.” Non-fiction texts such as “How to Bird” can serve as powerful tools to disrupt stereotypes.

Loving the suggestions and ideas being shared in the Leadership Part 1 AQ. Really like how educators are considering loose parts to lead learners and staff with engagement, expression and representation. Making intentional connections to UDL through play. ❤️ETFO AQ #leadership
