It was a brilliant day, thanks to ootibootweets at CCCU, experimenting with different instruments and using digital software to record and manipulate them for effect. We had a tour of the campus, learnt how movie soundtracks are made and recorded our own sounds in the studio!

A great few weeks of Sport with Y5/6 hockey and Girls' football tournaments and Y1/2 cross country at Spring Grove - with a 1st place for Y2 Girls for Brabourne!

Venus Class had a fantastic trip to Broadlees Farm. There are over 1000 sheep on the farm and 350 still to lamb. They were fascinated by the baby lambs!

The whole school (lots of excited pupils!) gathered for in inauguration of our new Monkey Bars. Thank you to our amazing PTA for this fantastic addition to our playground!

The whole school gathered respectfully for a minute's silence during collective worship in our school garden. We raised a commemorative flag for VE day and Rev. Susan led prayers as a school. We were also treated to a special VE lunch also with fish and chips and sponge pudding.

We had a truly special afternoon marking 80 years since VE Day. The children warmly welcomed visitors from the village to a street party filled with joy, conversation, and a splendid spread—complete with fine china!

Year 5 have been gaining a wealth of new skills as part of Kent Police’s 9-week Cadet Training Programme. Through the sessions, they’ve been building confidence, developing teamwork, and learning about important topics such as social justice and e-safety.
