Job alert!!! Our Department Penn Neurosurgery is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Neuroscience. Please Apply & RT! apply.interfolio.com/118976

Thank you to Nanthia Suthana for invitation to speak at the CNS News conference today about context, drift, and boundary data from Texas Computational Memory Lab / Lega Lab. I learned a lot from panel including spatial navigation and stat learning research.

2/ we extend classifier modeling to behavioral states more broadly, distinguishing encoding/retrieval and non mnemonic states. Thanks to UT Southwestern O'Donnell Brain Institute and @UTSWNews for supplying the big time computing resources needed for this kind of thing.

Getting a PhD in neuroscience is no mean feat! Know a fabulous recent PhD grad (obtained PhD from Jan 1- Dec 31, 2022)? Consider nominating them for Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Nemko Prize in Cellular or Molecular Neuroscience. Due May 11 sfn.org/careers/awards…

I hate twitter but coming back on to say I hope to see friends and meet new ones at LEARNMEM2023 next week Manuella Oliveira Yassa, our first full lab conference since the pandemic. I'll also be giving some kind of controversial talk so DM me if there is something that grinds your gears!

At LEARNMEM2023 See posters/talks by Ashley Williams Yicong (Alan) Zheng @JamesWardAntony Maya Geva-Sagiv Xiaonan Liu 💙💛😷 Anna Leshinskaya alex barnett🧠 Zach Reagh Angelique Delarazan Jacinda Taggett & April Luo! Will post times/dates soon! UC Davis Center for Neuroscience UCD Memory and Plasticity Program learnmem2023.org/schedule/

Check out new work from our lab at LEARNMEM2023 on Saturday where UTSW Neurosurgery resident Cody Wolfe will be presenting a poster examining differential activity along the entorhinal axis (MEC vs LEC) using human iEEG data. Some high/low gamma data inspired by Laura Colgin models.

🎓👏 Congratulations to Columbia BME's Tamara Gedankien Tamara Gedankien on a successful dissertation defense! "Temporal coordination of neuronal activity underlies human memory and learning" (PI: Joshua Jacobs Josh Jacobs) Best wishes, Dr. Gedankien!

Can closed-loop brain stimulation improve memory in patients with memory loss due to traumatic brain injury? The Penn Memory Lab at Penn just published a paper in Brain Stimulation answering this question. 🧵 👇 /1

Hey #Stats community! The Dept of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a TT faculty position in Quantitative Psychology at the assistant professor level. We hope you'll consider applying! Happy to answer any Qs. Please share! utah.peopleadmin.com/postings/151378

R25 program now funded at UTSW Neurosurgery and @utswneurology to train #NextGen #PhysicianScientists at @UTSWNews and UT Southwestern O'Donnell Brain Institute. Bringing outstanding clinical care and science together to advance the field! #neurosurgery

This Wales-Fiji game is top notch Stefano Berto, PhD . Open side flanker with cross kick to the winger for a try. Solid tackling, ball moving through the backs. Rugby World Cup
