Great to be part of the 90th anniversary celebrations of the longest running bird observatory in the British Isles yesterday (a day after the actual anniversary as the sea state intervened). A good day, in good weather, with good company and some good birds! 😊 @IofMayBirdObs

Eight years (and a day) ago today we were anxiously waiting for the Uyeasound Siberian Thrush to show, which it eventually did. Somewhat quieter there this evening when twitching Mark Wilkinson and Andrew Stirrat 's two Olive-backed Pipits with Chris Pendlebury (unsuccessfully).
