Right. I assign that speech to my students every year. A Time For a Choosing is the speech that launched Reagan's political career.

We hear this every time a president's party has a trifecta, and honestly, the only time complacency was the reason for a midterm wave might've been 1994 when I'm not sure House Democrats really, truly believed they could lose the majority after 40 years.

I have no idea what facts drove this decision & I think 100% of us want this monster locked up forever, but it's worth noting that the court system is SUPPOSED to do unpopular stuff. It's the reason for lifetime tenure. To let judges follow the law even when it's unpopular.

Truly impressive commitment to both sidesing this one when Republicans control every lever of the federal government and Texas government.

Harper has no power. Bohm’s batting cleanup with a .400 SLG. Castellanos leads the NL in men LOB. Kepler barely deserves a bench spot. J.T. is an automatic groundout. Stott’s been one of MLB’s worst hitters for a year. But sure, people are overreacting about the Phillies offense.

Phil Cuzzi is having one of the most incompetent nights I e ever seen from an umpire. Someone needs to be thrown out. Maybe multiple someones. It almost looks like he bet on the Giants.

Phil Cuzzi just handed the Giants the game. Fire his incompetent ass. He’s 70 years old. He shouldn’t still be officiating.

The Giants went hit-by-pitch, single, hit-by-pitch, groundout to take the lead. On a related note, it's kind of wild that Phil Cuzzi is still doing his thing in 2025:

I tend to agree with this. I almost never think it makes sense for a manager to get run, but you absolutely blow a gasket there.
